Welcome to Highlands Preschool
At Highlands Christian Academy Preschool, we are committed to nurturing the whole child in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Our dedicated teachers provide a safe, engaging, and joyful space where children who turn 3 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year can grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
Our preschool program is fully accredited by Cognia (formerly SACS), the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS), and the Middle States Association. We proudly uphold full compliance with both Florida’s Voluntary PreKindergarten (VPK) standards and the Department of Children and Families (DCF) regulations.
Our teaching team is carefully chosen for their strong faith, deep understanding of early childhood development, and commitment to educational excellence. Each member meets or exceeds all state qualifications, ensuring your child receives exceptional care and instruction.
To meet the diverse needs of our families, we offer both half-day and full-day preschool schedule options.
Half-Day: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Half-Day - 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Full-Day: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Aftercare: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
A Curriculum with Purpose and Heart
At Highlands Christian Preschool, we believe every child is created by God with a unique purpose. Our curriculum is designed to support the whole child—helping them grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively in a Christ-centered environment.
We combine hands-on learning with strong academic foundations using:
Theme-Based Units – Engaging topics that spark curiosity and encourage exploration.
Interactive Learning Centers – Designed to promote creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction.
A Beka Curriculum – A trusted, faith-based academic program that builds early literacy and math skills.
Through these experiences, children not only develop strong academic foundations but also learn values like kindness, patience, and respect—helping shape both their minds and hearts.
A Day in Preschool

How to Apply
K3 & VPK4 English Immersion Classes
Please call Mrs. Silva at 954-495-5296 for information about enrollment in these new classes!
VPK4 Classes
Please follow the instructions below.
Children must live in Florida and be 4 years old on or before September 1st of the current school year to be eligible. If their fourth birthday falls February 2nd through September 1st in a calendar year, parents can postpone enrolling their child in VPK that year and wait until the following year when their child is 5.
First, Register Online with the Office of Early Learning
Parents must obtain a “Certificate of Eligibility” from the Office of Early Learning. The application will take approximately 15 minutes to complete online and you will need your child’s birth certificate and proof of Florida residency. Once you have completed the application, you will be sent a certificate by email. Bring that voucher to the school office where you will be asked to sign and date the document.
Then, Enroll for VPK at Highlands
Complete the Highlands Christian Academy online application at www.highlandschristian.org.
At the top of the home page, click on “Admissions” then “Enrollment Info 2025-26”.
On the next page, click on “Create an Account” at the top and follow the instructions.
Documents Required by Highlands
A completed State of Florida School Entry Health Exam form
A current Florida Certificate of Immunization
A copy of your child’s original birth certificate
Proof of health insurance
A photo ID of any person(s) picking up the child
Thank You for Considering Highlands Christian Academy’s VPK Program
