+ How much will I need to pay weekly/monthly?

Tuition will vary by grade, but families can choose to spread payments over 10, 11 or even 12 months. We are happy to work with you.

+ Does HCA offer scholarships?

Yes. We accept the following scholarships to help offset the cost of tuition:

Step-Up for Students Scholarship, Florida Tax Credit Scholarship, Family Empowerment Scholarship, Gardiner Scholarship, McKay Scholarship, AAA Scholarships

+ Does HCA offer any financial aid?

Yes. Families can “apply” for financial aid upon final acceptance into HCA. We also offer additional credit to families that refer others to Highlands, which result in an enrollment.

+ What are the school hours?

VPK - Full Day: 8 AM - 3PM / Half Day: 8 AM - 11AM

K5 – 2nd Grade - Full Day: 8 AM - 2:40 PM / Half Day: 8 AM - 11:40 AM

3rd – 5th Grade - Full Day: 8 AM - 2:50 PM / Half Day: 8 AM - 11:50 AM

6th - 12th Grade - Full Day: 7:50 AM - 3:15 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday / 7:50 AM - 3:00 PM on Thursday / Half Day: 7:50 AM - 12 Noon

+ What is the faculty-to-student ratio?

K4/VPK follows the State of Florida ratios of 1:11 max.

K5 through 12th – Average ratio is 1:11.

+ Are there aides in the classroom?

Yes. HCA utilizes classroom aides in VPK through 1st grade.

+ Do you offer sports programs for Lower School students?

We would love for your student to become a Junior Knight!

Intramural sports for 1st through 3rd grades include soccer and basketball. Competitive sports for 4th and 5th grades include co-ed soccer, boys & girls basketball, girls volleyball, and boys flag football. Please contact the Athletic Office or Lower School Office for more information!

+ What afterschool clubs do you offer?

At HCA, we integrate the various enrichments (art, choir, band, drama, STEM, and Spanish) into the school day - so all students can benefit from them. Some of these may be offered after school as well.

+ Are school lunches included in the tuition price? Is breakfast offered?

Lunches are not included in tuition, however, they may be purchased in the HCA Cafeteria for an average cost of $6/per lunch. Breakfast is not served at school.

+ Do you offer transportation to/from school?

We do not currently run daily pickup routes, but we do use school buses to transport our students for field trips and/or athletic events.
