Mrs. Leslie Shein is our Elementary Assistant Principal. She loves that Highlands feels like a family! She shares, “We take the education of our students seriously, but also strive to help our students and families grow socially and spiritually as well.” Leslie and her husband are both HCA grads, and their two children are now students in HCA Elementary!
How is faith and learning integrated at Highlands?
“A living, real relationship with Jesus Christ is demonstrated through the lives of our administration and faculty. While we are all imperfect humans, we are striving to follow Christ and use the talents He has given each of us to further His kingdom. Biblical integration is implemented throughout our entire curriculum in addition to weekly chapel and daily Bible classes.”
How do you make a spiritual impact on your students?
“I love that I have the opportunity to pray with not only students, but with our HCA parents as well. This is a ministry geared toward reaching the whole family.”
What do you think sets HCA apart from other schools?
“Highlands offers the best of both worlds. HCA has a small school feel with accountability and personal relationships, but also offers current educational strategies and integrated educational technology for all students.”
