Important Elementary Field Day Information – Friday, March 16
Field Day is an exciting time when elementary students are able to enjoy fun physical activities and competitions amongst other students and classes. This year, Field Day will take place on Friday, March 16, beginning at 9 a.m. and running throughout the day. It will end with a class award ceremony in the gym and then individual awards in the classroom. This is one of the most popular days of the year for our K5-5th grade students.
We need your help! Field Day cannot happen without the help of our parents! We need as many volunteers as possible, so please sign up if you are able!
Student dress code will be a t-shirt (no tank tops) and comfortable shorts (fingertip length or longer). Tennis shoes are REQUIRED for participation! Each class will wear a specific colored t-shirt. If your child does not have a shirt in the class color, he or she will still be able to participate wearing another shirt. We just ask that you make sure the shirt has appropriate writing/artwork for HCA standards. We will be playing water games, so please be sure the clothes/shoes worn can get wet and sloppy!
The cafeteria will be closed on Field Day! You must preorder a pizza lunch in advance for your child, or pack a lunch from home. Pizza order forms will be sent home closer to the date of the event.
Students are encouraged to bring water bottles. There will be a concession stand open during the day for students and parents.
Almost all of the events are outside so please provide your child with sunscreen.
