Highlands Preschoolers are Learning to Know and Love God!
Preschool students enjoy an exciting Bible time every morning. On their very first day at HCA, boys and girls begin to learn about the days of creation. Throughout the school year, they progress through the Bible—all the way to the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. Using the A Beka Bible Curriculum, our Christian educators teach the boys and girls that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants to have a relationship with each of us.
Preschool students memorize God’s Word. K3 students memorize 17 Bible verses during the school year. K4 students memorize 26 Bible verses in addition to the entire chapters of Psalm 23 and Psalm 139 which they recite at their yearly spring program.
Preschool students learn that prayer is talking to God. Through their teachers’ example during the day, children begin to understand the significance of prayer. One little HCA boy told his teacher he had been scared when he was in the hospital—so he prayed and recited his Bible verses! How exciting to know these little kids are learning to trust God for His presence and protection.
Preschool students look forward to chapel time. Once a week, the boys and girls walk over to the church auditorium for their chapel time which includes a special Bible lesson and fun songs that reinforce the Bible stories.
