Knights Trained by Olympic Athletes this Weekend
This weekend, the Knights Track Team and other local student athletes were blessed with training sessions conducted by two Olympians!
Tom Petranoff is a retired American track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He held the world record from May 1983 to July 1984, and his 99.72 m throw was greater than the length of an American football field.
Wolfgang Schmidt is a former German track and field athlete who competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics and won the silver medal in the discus throw. He also won several medals at the European Athletics Championships.
A big Highlands thank you to Tom and Wolfgang for providing this wonderful opportunity for the Knights!
