Attending Various Colleges & Universities

Congratulations to the Class of 2018 on their academic achievements, their graduation this Friday evening, and their future college plans!

Erin Allen plans to attend North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina. Erin came to Highlands this year and shares that being at Highlands has “taught me patience and a lot about trust.” Erin says that she especially appreciates the “close atmosphere” at Highlands.

Matthew Veynovich plans to attend Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and major in Psychology. Matthew came to Highlands in K4, and as one of our Lifers he shares: “Highlands has a great environment to be part of—and teachers that prepare us for the future.”

Ryan Szklany plans to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, and major in Aerospace Engineering. Ryan, one of our Highlands Lifers, came to HCA in K4. He shares: “I’ve been at Highlands my whole life, so Highlands is a huge part of who I am today.”

Megan Foulke plans to attend Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, and major in Nursing. Megan has attended Highlands since K4. As a Highlands Lifer, she shares, “This is where I spent my childhood, and I’m really thankful I got to go here.”

Attending Various Colleges & Joining the Army

Sasha Graham plans to attend Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia, and major in Nursing. Sasha came to Highlands in 11th grade and shares that Highlands has helped teach her to “get closer to God and trust Him.”

Jurden D’Arnault plans to attend North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri, and major in Business and Administration. Jurden came to Highlands in 11th grade and especially appreciates that at Highlands he was “given an opportunity I didn’t have before.”

Josefine Van Reenen plans to join the Army and pursue her education in that way. Josephine came to Highlands in 9th grade and shares that at HCA “I have grown and been strengthened in my faith.” She especially loves the loving and supportive environment at Highlands.

Attending Various Colleges & Universities

Thuan Nguyen plans to attend the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota and major in Commercial Aviation. Thuan came to Highlands for his senior year, and what he loves most about HCA is the “friendly staff and fun activities.”

Richard Silva plans to attend Newbury College in Boston, Massachusetts and major in Criminal Justice. Richard came to Highlands in 11th grade and shares that this school has “taught me to take responsibility for my actions.” His advice to underclassmen is to “stay awake and say less.”

Attending Southeastern University

Gregoor Moesker plans to attend Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and major in Sports Management. Gregoor came to Highlands in 11th grade and shares that what he loves most about Highlands is “the way the teachers teach our classes.”

O’Dair Marselia plans to attend Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and major in Business Administration. O’Dair has been at Highlands since 11th grade and is thankful for this school because it has meant “being in a school that shares the same beliefs as I do.”

Attending Southeastern University

Marissa Wheeler plans to attend Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and major in Organizational Leadership. Marissa has been at Highlands since 5th grade, and one of the things she loves about this school is “the effort that the teachers push you to have to succeed in school.”

Christina Julien plans to attend Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and major in Pre-Med. Christina came to Highlands in 7th grade and especially appreciates “how the teachers really care about you both inside and outside of the classroom.”

 Giornic Sille plans to attend ASA College in Hialeah, Florida and major in Computer Science. Giornic came to Highlands in 11th grade, and he shares that being at Highlands has helped him learn “to focus on my goals.” Giornic also especially loves the HCA sports program.

Juano Coco plans to attend ASA College in Hialeah, Florida and major in Engineering. Juano came to Highlands in 11th grade, and he shares this about his two years at HCA: “It really means a lot to be a Knight. It was such an honor.”

Attending Keiser University

 Chad Allen plans to attend Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida and major in Sports Business and Marketing. Chad came to Highlands in 6th grade and shares that what he loves most about Highlands is “how it’s just a big family here and everyone knows everyone.”

Giancarlo Edwards plans to attend Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Florida, and major in Sports Marketing. He came to Highlands this year and shares that one of the things he loves most about Highlands is the “interaction between students and teachers.”

Attending Valencia College

Julia Lund plans to attend Valencia Collge in Orlando, Florida, and major in Nursing. Julie came to Highlands in K3. As one of our Lifers, she shares that what she appreciates most about Highlands is “the teachers and the love from everyone…and that the teachers care that you succeed and prosper.”

Christine Barnard plans to attend Valencia College in Orlando, Florida, and major in Nursing. Christine came to Highlands in K5, and as a Lifer says: “HCA has taught me to be responsible in my schoolwork and in my time management.”

Attending Palm Beach State and FAU

Maddie Brown plans to attend Palm Beach State and Florida State University and major in Marketing. Maddie came to Highlands in 11th grade and especially appreciates that HCA has “helped me grow better as a person and taught me to try harder in school.”

Scott Bush plans to attend Florida Atlantic University Honors College in Jupiter, Florida, and is undecided about his major. Scott came to Highlands in K5, and as one of our Lifers shares: “Teachers challenged me and told me what college would be like, and they prepared me in the right way.”

Indiya Baksh plans to attend Palm Beach State and Florida Atlantic University and major in Forensic Psychology. Indiya came to HCA in 9th grade and shares: “I am part of a school that cares about their students, and I am proud of that. The classes have definitely helped prepare me for any college class.”

Andrew Villela plans to attend Palm Beach State College and major in Biology. Andrew came to Highlands in 11th grade, and his best advice to underclassmen is “to study.”

 Zak Henderson plans to attend Palm Beach State and Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Digital Media and Graphic Design. Zak has attended Highlands since 9th grade, and what he loves most about Highlands is that “the staff and a lot of the teachers are helpful and fun to talk to.”

Barbara Borges plans to attend Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and major in Communications. Barbara came to Highlands in 9th grade and shares: “I love the teachers and how they take time helping the students individually. I love that we can have a real friendship with them.”

Alexa Trochez hopes to attend Palm Beach State or Florida Atlantic University and major in Business Management. Alexa came to Highlands in 9th grade, and she shares that being at Highlands has “helped me work hard and learn to not slack off.”
