Yesterday we featured our two principles, Abigail Canning and Bryce Barton. Now let us introduce you to three more of our amazing leads.

Caroline Canning, Highlands ninth grader, plays the role of Mother Abbess. Her favorite scene in the musical is when Maria sings The Sound of Music, and what she loves most about being in this show is “being able to sing and be with friends.” Last year Caroline played the roles of a sea creature and a princess in The Little Mermaid. She’s learned through being in musicals at Highlands to “have fun and work hard at whatever part you get.” Highlands congratulates Caroline on her lead role in this year’s spring musical!

Anna Foulke, Highlands tenth grader, plays the role of Elsa Schraedar. One of her favorite scenes in the musical is How Can Love Survive? and what she loves most about being in this show is playing Elsa. Anna came to Highlands in K3 and has played several roles in musicals including Miss Stacy in Anne of Green Gables and Arista in The Little Mermaid. She’s learned “criticism is sometimes a good thing that you can use to improve yourself, and if you want something you have to work hard for it.” Highlands congratulates Anna on her lead role in this spring musical!

Michael Giourgas, also a Highlands tenth grader, plays the role of Max Detweiler. His favorite scene in the musical is the ballroom scene, and what he loves most about being in this show is spending time with his friends. Michael came to Highlands as a second grader and played the role of Stapleton in Baskerville this past fall. He says what he’s learned most through being in musicals at Highlands is that “even though it is a lot of work, it’s worth it.” Highlands congratulates Michael on his lead in the musical this year!
