HCA Knights Welcome Taylor Townsend, New Girls Varsity Soccer Coach

Highlands Christian Academy welcomes Taylor Townsend as the new girls varsity soccer coach for the 2017-2018 school year!

Coach Townsend is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Degree in Communications. While at FAU, she helped to lead her soccer team to the Conference USA Tournament. Prior to FAU, she played soccer for two years at the University of Central Florida where she made the Top 100 Freshman list. She also played in a summer league from 2012-2016 with Team Boca Blast (a semi-professional team) and still remains Boca’s leading goal scorer. Recently, Taylor also played with Club Universitario de Deportes, a Peruvian professional team. Coach Townsend has been the assistant girls soccer coach for West Boca High School as well as American Heritage. She is currently working as an Individual Trainer.

HCA is grateful to welcome Taylor Townsend to the HCA coaching family. “I am so excited to welcome Taylor as our new Girls Soccer Coach,” Athletic Director Jim Good says.  “Taylor has learned to use her talents to spread the love of Christ. I know our girls will enjoy her passionate style of coaching and look up to her as a role model.”
