Junior NHS Students Donating Time with Do More Foundation
The HCA Junior National Honor Society students, along with HCA teacher/sponsor Mr. John Wilson, are donating their time and making a difference in the community again! They’ll be joining forces with The Do More Foundation at a fundraiser called The Color Dash on September 17, raising money together with the community for chronically ill children. This family-friendly event will be taking place on the HCA campus, with special incentives for HCA students to get involved and win a sno-cone or ice-cream party for their class.
“We are looking forward to partnering with our favorite school to raise money for The Do More Foundation,” says Lori Lassen, HCA mom of 4 four students and co-founder of The Do More Foundation. “The junior high students that are volunteering will be a welcome addition to this wonderful event. Some of our HCA families have been affected by a medical crisis with their own children,” she adds, “and we are looking forward to raising money for The Do More Foundation while having our friends at HCA involved.”
HCA families and the community are invited to check out the details HERE and register today [coupon code: lastminute for $10 off an individual registration]. For every registration indicating “HCA NHS” as the referral source, a portion of the registration fee will be given to the Highlands Christian Academy JNHS.
The main function of The Do More Foundation is to give financial assistance to families with chronically ill children as well as to families who have lost a child and need help paying for funeral expenses.
