HCA Welcomes New Guidance Counselor, Mr. Jeff Sullivan
Highlands Christian Academy is excited to announce the arrival of Mr. Jeff Sullivan, the new guidance counselor beginning his position for the 2016-2017 school year.
Jeff grew up in South Florida and came to Highlands as a 6th grader. Throughout his seven years as an HCA student, he was involved in the academic quiz team, JV and varsity basketball, and tech for spring musicals. He also served as a class officer, earned the distinctive Christian Character Award, and graduated with High Honors in 2011, having almost 300 hours of community service. In 2015, Jeff received his undergraduate degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Passionate about teaching students to know and love God, he worked with the youth at Highlands / Grace Baptist during college summers and plans to continue this year-round now that South Florida is “home” again.
Jeff is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in School Guidance. Already on campus, he shares, “I am both excited and thankful to be joining the Highlands’ family and working alongside the parents and staff to aid in the growth and development of these students. I’m looking forward to seeing how God will work and how He blesses this next school year!” Jeff goes on to quote Titus 2: 11-12: For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “no” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.
Headmaster Ken Lopez and the Highlands’ faculty welcomes Mr. Jeff Sullivan to his new position as guidance counselor. They encourage HCA families to stop by and meet Mr. Sullivan, get to know him, and be encouraged by how God will use him in the lives of students this coming year.
