Former HCA Graduate Earns Doctoral Degree
Highlands Christian Academy congratulates 2008 graduate Alyssa Rush on receiving her Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, after completing her Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from Florida Gulf Coast University.
While at Highlands, Alyssa was named Female Scholar Athlete of the Year as a senior and was named to the 1st-Team All-SACC Volleyball Team.
In addition to beginning her physical therapy career, Alyssa and her sister Shelby (HCA Class of 2012) also serve as travel team coaches for Tribe Volleyball Club of South Florida. Alyssa and Shelby attended HCA for 13 and 15 years respectively.
Dr. Alyssa Rush shares, “HCA provided caring teachers and a solid educational structure that helped me stay on course for making sound decisions about my future.”
The HCA family is proud of Alyssa and thankful for how God is blessing her. HCA congratulates Alyssa and her fiancée, Gian Hurtado, on their plans for a December wedding which will be held in Parkland, Florida.
