School Supplies for K3-5th Grade
School Uniform Information
Please note that variations to the uniform will not be allowed. There are no exceptions to this policy. All girls, K5-12th grades, must purchase at least one pair of pants for cold weather use.
First Day of School – August 17, 2015 (Please note that VPK4 begins on August 24.)
Elementary School Begins @ 8:00 a.m. / Dismissal @ 11:40 a.m. for K3, K5-2nd Grade / Dismissal @ 11:50 a.m. for 3rd-5th Grade
Junior High Begins at 8:30 in Fellowship Center / Dismissal at Noon
High School Begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditorium / Dismissal at Noon
All students in K5 through 12 grade who will be attending HCA for the first time must have a personal interview with an administrator. All new families must also have a meeting with the financial office. Please contact the school office to schedule these important conferences (which are separate from the tour process).
Please mark your calendars! Orientation nights are important, informative meetings that all parents need to attend. Each will meet in the Auditorium to start. Please refer to the school calendar for dates and times. These orientation nights are not intended for students.

K3 Half Day 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon
K4 Half Day 8:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
K5 – Grade 2 8:00 a.m. – 2:40 p.m.
Grades 3 – 5 8:00 a.m. – 2:50 p.m.
Grades 6 – 12 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Used Uniform Sale
HCA plans to open the Knights Closet for a used uniform sale. Specific dates and times will be emailed to HCA families. Please be reminded that all HCA students in K5 through 12th grades must be in full HCA uniforms for all regular school days beginning on the first day of school. This includes HCA uniform tops and bottoms.
All 7th grade students need to have Part A, B, or C of Immunization Form 680 completed before attending classes. Also, K5 students must have the Hepatitis B series completed in order to attend school. Plan ahead and make your appointment now! Please note: The State of Florida requires that all preschool and kindergarten students have updated and current health exams and immunization forms in order to begin school.

Tell-A-Friend Details: A tuition discount of $250 for each new student enrolling in any grade (except VPK) will be given if a recommendation results in an enrollment. There is no limit to the number of discounts received. The enrolling family must be new to the school. A brother or sister of current students would not qualify. (If any family member previously attended HCA, they would not qualify.) The new family must indicate during enrollment the name of the family receiving the discount. New students must be accepted and enrolled in school on or before September 8, 2015 and remain enrolled throughout the year. All discounts will be tallied and applied to the November tuition statement. A “Tell-A-Friend Drawing” will be held in October. The school will award two families with a $2,000.00 tuition voucher for the 2015-2016 school year. (Must be present to win.)
The HCA senior class is gearing up for an exciting trip to Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia next spring. Of course, they will need your help, so please keep them in mind for the following:

High School Schedules
High School schedules will be sent out in early August. If you have questions or would like to change your schedule, please come to the HCA cafeteria on the dates and times listed below.
Senior Scheduling – August 13 @ 6:00 p.m.
Junior Scheduling – August 13 @ 7:00 p.m.
Sophomore Scheduling – August 14 @ 6:00 p.m.
Freshmen Scheduling – August 14 @ 7:00 p.m.
Athletic Participation Fee
A fee of $100 or $200 (football) will be due September 15 for fall athletes; December 15 for winter athletes; and March 15 for spring athletes. If an athlete is a member of more than one team, he or she needs to pay only one fee. This fee should be paid through the school office.
Practice Start Dates
The FHSAA official starting dates for fall sports is August 3, including volleyball, football, cross country, golf, and bowling. Specific dates and times TBA!
FHSAA Physicals (Athletic)
Any athlete in 6th – 12th grade planning to be at tryouts must have a new FHSAA physical form on file in the Athletic Office. Forms are available in the HCA Athletic Office or on the FHSAA website. Physicals will be offered at HCA for $15 on Saturday, August 1, 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Elementary team members do not need this physical.
