Collecting Spare Change to Make a Difference
Beginning Tuesday, April 28, the HCA National Honor Society will be hosting a school-wide collection of spare change for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research. Students will be given little boxes in which to collect loose change and help find a cure for blood diseases.
Students and families will be encouraged to bring in change, bills, and even checks. The class with the highest percentage (per student) of money collected will win an Olive Garden Pasta Lunch Party (during lunchtime at school). There will be one K3 – 5th grade winning class and one junior high/high school winning class.
The kick-off and presentation of this Leukemia fundraiser will take place on April 29 for K3 – 5th grade students and April 30 for junior high/high school. Students will learn about this exciting program and be encouraged to begin collecting loose change around the house now!
This is a two-week drive from April 28 – May 12. Collection days will be as follows:
Thursday, April 30
Tuesday, May 5
Friday, May 8
Tues. May 12 (last collection day)
