FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Highlands Christian Academy
Highlands Christian Academy offers financial assistance program to families through Family Financial Needs Assessment. Assistance is offered to families who are going through temporary setbacks, such as loss of job, severe illness or injury, etc. Our financial aid program is meant to be used one or two years during the student’s educational stay.
Students must first be registered and accepted into Highlands in order to apply for financial aid assistance.
FINANCIAL NEED
Families interested in financial aid must request a FFNA application from the main school office. After completing the application, it is returned to our office. The application is then sent to FFNA for evaluation. When it is returned to us, it is evaluated by our committee, at which time a decision is made as to the percentage of aid the family will be given. Financial aid applies to tuition and daycare only, and does not apply to any fees, such as registration, consolidated, class fees, etc.
Families must apply for financial aid each year. Financial aid is evaluated each year.
Highlands Christian Academy takes into consideration many factors when evaluating for financial aid. Some of those factors include financial need/ability, expenses, family background, academic and behavioral standing of student(s), previous financial aid granted, payment history, grade level/capacity, number of families applying for aid, and discount money available.
PASTOR’S DISCOUNT
A Pastor’s Discount is offered on tuition to full-time senior pastors and full-time youth pastors who derive 90 percent of their annual income from the church.
STEP UP FOR STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS
Highlands Christian Academy also accepts the Step Up For Student Scholarship. (See www.stepupforstudents.org).
