At Highlands Christian Academy, we take education seriously. We realize students have different strengths and weaknesses, and we want to give students the opportunity to excel in the areas God has gifted them in. That’s why our High School offers a broad spectrum of programs, including honors courses, fine arts programs, athletics, and biblical instruction and opportunities for service.

Our goal is to prepare our high school students for college…and for life. We know each student learns differently, so we use a variety of teaching methods and curriculum that are both traditional and progressive. Our teachers are hand selected for expertise in their teaching area, their relatability to teens, and their Christian character. We believe students are always watching and always learning from their instructors—in the classroom and outside—so we want our educators to have the utmost integrity and be well respected as mature Christian adults.

We also know the teen years are a formative time for relationships. At HCA, we believe God has created us to live in community and to function as salt and light in our world. That’s why HCA’s high school provides an environment that is conducive for healthy, age-appropriate relationships with peers, staff, and the community at large. We encourage relationships that are characterized by respect, compassion, honesty, forgiveness, and purity.

The vast majority of HCA students attend college, and many of our students are recipients of academic scholarships. More than 70 percent of HCA students enroll in honors classes, while many students elect to take dual enrollment and on-line classes. HCA students have graduated from all the major public and private colleges and universities in Florida and numerous institutions of higher learning around the country.
