Highlands Christian Academy (HCA) is committed to educational excellence, but we’ve also been entrusted with an even bigger responsibility. It is our privilege to come alongside parents and assist them in teaching their children to know and live for Christ.

Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. (1 Timothy 4:8 NLT)

Because of the importance of this challenge, the administration at HCA hand selects each teacher and staff member. Extensive background checks, multiple references, and thorough interviews are all part of the job application process. We want to do everything in our power to ensure our teachers not only have the proper credentials and experience to educate, but also know and love Jesus Christ personally.

HCA teachers understand that the Bible is our ultimate sourcebook for all truth. They constantly seek out new ways to communicate the message of the Gospel while teaching academic subjects.

Each teacher possesses Christian character and integrity that is beyond reproach. We desire for our staff to be accurate reflections of Jesus, because we know young eyes and ears are watching and learning from our actions as much as they do from their textbooks.

Teachers at HCA realize what a tough job it is to be a parent today. Most of our teachers are parents, aunts, uncles, or grandparents themselves. That’s why they maintain a team-effort mentality with parents, embracing the privilege and responsibility of coming alongside parents in the biblical training of their children.

HCA believes that if children are trained in the way they should go, they will not depart from the right path when they get older. We are excited that we can have a part in teaching children to know, love, and serve Christ . . . for life!

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)
